Hi all,
I've a new dilemna.
She says ramp has to go.
I kinda like it, I'm 6'6" tall and it helps get past the a/c in the escape hole.
I have to come up with a reason to keep it, or I'm going to have to cover it.
by the way if I cover it and just leave the front area open (6"x14") will I starve the bus a/c?
I need a reason, other than my head, to keep it.
please help.
Devin
Hi Devin. Raise the roof, or you're going to have to shrink. Your wife has this one right. No reason to keep the ramp. Looks a little funky in a motorhome. With your new "step up" inlet, the AC and heat will get all the return it needs. The small inlets along the side of the coach are all returns also. A motorhome will not require the max AC or heat for more than a few minutes. Most MCI ramps will unscrew and can be removed as one large piece.
If you keep the ramp, anyone sitting on the sofa (assuming it's in a conventional location...behind the drivers seat) may have their feet dangling over the ramp.
Reckon that if the ramp was carpeted, it wouldn't look too bad.
I believe most people lose the ramp. We'll see soon. Mine is long gone.
Cheers, JR
6'-6" ...yea you need to do a roof raise..
Or an MCI 102C3 - 6'10" of headroom without the raise.
Let, see, I'm trying to come up witht a good one. HOw about this - keeping the ramp keeps some of the class and flavor of it being the bus it is, and not jsut a motorhome. It makes it unique. Good luck.
If she says the ramp must go, then in the long run it will go. Will make your life eaiser, maby a little hard on the head. One way or the other you are going to get bumps on your head, either from her or the air conditioner.
Remember if Momma isn't happy no one is.
