Post by: mccarlk on July 19, 2010, 07:16:58 AM
been building the beast for two years now, took my kids to darien lake this weekend, round trip 8 hrs and only used quarter tank, ran 70 no prob, heat at 180 and it was hot out, big delays at the border, only problem was ps pump started to whine and steering a bit stiff, putting a new pump on this week, thanks for all the help i have received on this board, had a blast , we are already planning another trip,

Way to go!  glad it worked out great for you.  I  have a 2,000 psi relief valve for the PS pump if your bus has been upgraded to the integral steering.  If it still has the ram steering, 1,000 psi is the spec.  Vickers VTM-42 pump, I got one from Traction in Hamilton, but it was pricey.

Did you ever get under the other bus to see what the tranny is?  I'm still interested!

Cheers, Brian
