Title: Flashing a Generator
Post by: Joe Camper on July 16, 2010, 06:57:15 PM
Universal puts their name on it but it is a 15K head with a Kabota powerplant dont know what head it is but it is brushless.

Every 4 or 5 hundred hrs it quits generating power and I have to jolt the rectifier with pos 12 volt for an instant to bring it back to life.

Happened 3 or 4 times know. Got any ideas? Something going south?

Thanks in advance.

Luverbus thank you thank you thank you.

I knew Universal was gone but did not know what they turned into.

This Kabota powerplant has got to be up there with the most reliable engines in anything I ever owned.

Looks like it will be comming out again though. I got a feeling I will not access that regulator without pulling it. Ous is on a slide but it is not in there sideways it is in there deep ways with the rad in the same bay partitioned by a plywoood wall.

I need to call Mr. Wright on Monday for help on an autostart so I will inquire about that too.

Thanks again.
