Title: As long as I'm here, a couple pics of Thomas
Post by: Reddog on July 11, 2010, 06:19:44 AM
Thought I'd add a couple pics of winter projects.
Added a roll cage to Thomases AC unit, I would hate to break the plastic cover in a rollover or road block busting episode:

I'll post some pics of the 5B soon.

That's the ticket!  You may crush the hell out of the bus, but that A/C unit is gonna come out just fine!! :D

What's that sled looking thing behind the A/C?  Is that a toboggan for the sand dunes?

Yeah, wouldn't want to have to buy a new AC cover after the crash. The box behind is a Thule "Rocket Box", supposedly intended for skis, but I plan to use it for storing rockets to fire at stick and staple rigs that are in my way. ;D

Doug,
I was gonna say the A/C cover should be the least of your worries after a "roll over" accident, but I see you and Craig have already thought that thru already. ;)
Nice looking "tree catcher" in my opinion!

My first thought was "how the heck is a 'roo going to get up there", but I guess it would work for low flying trees too!

It also makes a handy seat...do I need a seat belt to be legal? Doug at 8000'
