I have a 1976 MCI-5B, 24 Volt. I was wondering all the wires in the ceiling that powered the lights above the passenger seats
(Reading) is there any use for them after the overhead racks are removed?

Well, in theory, you could use them for other lights and such.
In reality, I stripped mine out because I knew I would be adding new wiring for all the house stuff. I kept the wires, sorted and rolled them individually, and I reuse it from time to time.

I left most of my luggage racks in place, for storage.
I am currently installing a 24V solar system, and will be using the remaining interior lights in front room / kitchen and bedroom (the bath has a lighted mirror). The original wiring will work fine.
Also, there is an intercom from the bedroom to the driver's seat, running on the same wiring that the overhead speakers used.
