I am 30 miles east of there  in Holdrege Cliff. Beings I own my own welding business I am familiar with them although not personally. I would love to meet the forum's guru if it works out for you. What a small world. I just wish you would have still had your bus so I could have checked it out! My email is    skhef@charter.net    . Keep me abreast of your plans so I can plan somewhat accordingly.

Hmm, I was not too far from you guys a couple weeks ago. We came up from Oakley to Alma, and then across to Hebron. I like the rv park in Hebron. It's about half way between Pueblo and home and is only $5 a night.

I think the road across northern KS is better than the one across southern NE, though. I might try 34 over from 81 at Fairmont to Holdredge and then drop down
to Alma. The road down from Alma to Oakley is pretty good.

Any place to park in Holdredge, Scott?  We'll be making the trip out again in about 3 weeks.

Here in Holdrege there is a city rv park with hookups that I'm thinking is $10 a night. Definately not much for scenery however!! Other than that Harlan County Lake near Alma has several camping areas that are around $18 a night. The one closest to 183 is Methodist. You can reserve a spot online  at   http://www.recreation.gov/recgovHome.do?topTabIndex=Home (http://www.recreation.gov/recgovHome.do?topTabIndex=Home)   They do tend to fill up so I would advise getting a reservation. I guess if Cliff sets a date when he'll be around and it's over a weekend I could get us some spots reserved if anyone is interested. I don't want to horn in on ekhedge's plans for a get together so my apologies if it seems that way. A lot may depend on Cliff's plans but I guess we could say the hell with him and have it anyways!!! ;D ;D

Are the Walleye still as big as I remember in Harlan County Lake? It's been a few years since the last time I was there.

Thank You Wayne

Dallas you ( and anybody ) are welcome to the Eagle board. The only thing you can't see is our club private information and club business. I hope you understand why we have to protect our club members private information.  If you want to see the private stuff buy an Eagle and join the club ;D

Thgank You Wayne

We are not that kind of club and ask people to leave at midnite of the day they sell there bus. As Clifford has said he still owns an Eagle. Besides we owe him for all he has done for the club.  He has his dues paid up for three years and no one knows how to refund his money.

Thank You Wayne

Can't we all just get along?  I don't understand all the bitterness about Eagle only clubs and rallies.  Buy a scrap Eagle and park it in a field somewhere if you really want to be a member of Eagles International.

Start your own GMC club and only invite GMC bus owners if you want.  It is a free world.  I have neither an Eagle nor a GMC so none of this really affects me other than I can't join Eagles International.  I have no desire to start a Dina club.

No such thing as Eagles only rally Belfert bring your Dina on nothing will be said just FMCA bans owners of different makes for chapters set up for one brand like owning a Southwind and trying to join a Foretravel club same thing.
We didn't make the rules we only follow the rules as a FMCA Chapter

Since I've been a member of Eagles International I've never felt or seen anything but respect for anyone who owns a bus, even a school bus! We're just people who happen to own an Eagle, it's no different than owning an MCI, GM, Setra or Dina. It's about the people not but bus, at least that's how I look at it. The bus bling is just icing on the cake. 8)

BTW, Cilfford, hope you and Sonja have a fun and safe trip. You know where we live! ;) I talked with Bob Gilbert today and he's already up there enjoying life!

 ... start a Dina club.

That'd be a pretty small club.  There's probably more, but I know of two.  :D
