Well I made it to Grand Marais yesterday for the first trip in my Shorty Prevost. Bus ran great, steering is not something I am used to yet, it is slower to react than my Volvo 770, so am behind the curve (literally) at times. Water pump I put in doesn't seem to be working but I have camp ground water so that is not an issue. Great view of the little harbor here and the big water beyond. Life is good.
Slept good, really good.

PS for those of you not familiar with Mn, Grand Marais is on Lake Superior about 40 miles from Canada. Sunset was at 10:01 a really long longest day.
Chuck,
Grand Marais is simply wonderful! I'm glad you had the opportunity to stop there. Where did you end up staying?
Drive safe,
Brian
Glad you are able to finally get the Prevo out and enjoy life! That's what it's all about!
We were there a few years ago when we went around Lake Superior. If you like to fish go up the gunflint trail to the Boundary water canoe area. What a great place to canoe and fish.
