I want to understand! Why the «back cap » and doors of my Prevost are « oily » after a run? The motor is a 8-92 Detroit turbo. What I can do for regularized this problem. I search a solution for evacuated exhaust above or far the coach...
I imagine the bad situation when I will tow my New Beetle!!! All car will be « oily »......Yarkkkk!
Thanks
from experience::oil leaks----dirty air box drains----oil filter worked loose----trans filter leaking---air box drains are supose to close above a idle to put all air box pressure to cyl...remove disamble and clean.they should rattle when operating correctly...replace if you want 45$ea....I have had problem..Bob
You have a oil leak some place check the transmission, engine, and rear gear also the air dryer will blow oil when the compressor is going bad start if it is engine oil by cleaning the air box drain valves
good luck
Check your slobber tubes. You may need to put bottles on them.
You may need to get the engine and transmission cleaned and look for leaks.
Thank you,
I printed all messages and I will check that. This motor have only 125 000 miles. It's a rebuilt. I bought this "new" coach in march and that was my first trip.
If I understand, my motor must not exhaust oil and to have no leaks whatever that's a Detroit.
So, my coach was garaged (october '09 to march '10) when I bought it.
Thanks a lot
(sorry for my "poor" english!)
you don't want to hear my french...
