Kananaskis Country weekend (http://travellingwithgeorge.blogspot.com/2010/06/weekend-disconnect.html)
I used to think that jamie marrying a doctor would be a good thing but lately I'm torn between that and encouraging her to marry into a family with a sawmill lol.
I had probably the largest black cherry trees in this part of Minnesota in my yard, and it had to come down because it had gotten to weak to cable tie. We got 1200 board feet of lumber from it, dried and planed. I used a couple of hundred feet to use as flooring for my dining room and kitchen, and still have a 1000 feet in a local barn. My shorty Prevost does not have one board foot of finished wood in it, except what is covered with formica. Got to get the lumber out of the barn, if any one needs some cherry let me know.

Somebody shoot me quickly, put me out of my misery lol. That cherry is worth a lot of money, especially if it's old growth .

Oak (red) at August show...Cottonwood and walnut at October show..Will trade wood for work...Our sawmill is called Thick and Thin Sawmill a division of Hardly Able Interprizes.....Use a 1905 16 hp Huber Steam Engine....Another Hobby......Made 2 trailer loads of sawdust this weekend...Bob
