Timkar,

Couldn't get there with the link. Was this the rolled over airport emergency vehicle?

Man, that looks like an easy removal if that is what you're talking about, but the issues at the border would be pretty daunting. That is one heck of a long drive from Mpls. Minnesota but it sure looks like a pretty drive.  ;D :D ;)

I imagine Brian Diehl and Gumpy are going to stage a "repower" intervention if I start looking again.

(I never really stopped looking). Gotta get my fix man....

Timkar,

Did I mention 585 Horses? ar, ar ar, I'm making the Tim from tooltime barking sounds as I type.

Oh for the love of Jesus. I can hear stuff breaking in the drivetrain when I think about it!!

I can hear the discussion at the diesel shop now:

"I'm sorry Mr. Barron but you actually twisted the frame on the old girl and unless you can get used to driving her with the left front wheel perpetually off the ground... You understood when you put this monster of torque in that it was gonna break stuff didn't you?"

to be followed by the dreaded discussion with the wife...

Hey don't laugh, Gumpy and I have a friend on his 4th (yes that's a 4 folks) repower from the original motor the bus came from. They happen to keep their bus at the same lake where my wife's parent's cabin is and because of the downturn in the economy they couldn't drive it last summer. Folks, that's a strong marriage!

Man I hope our friend isn't reading this,

Rick

Buy it Rick!  I'll go with you to pull it. We'll make a road trip of it. I know the way! Good roads. Put a trailer on your bus to load it onto. Or maybe we can just drive the beast home!
Wouldn't that truck make an awesome motorhome!! Pull that tank and build a box on the frame!

It's only about 3000 miles up there from here. We could go on up to AK and visit my friends there, and do some fishing, too.

There can only be two plausible explanations for your sudden change of heart.

1. You see a free ride to Alaska.( which isn't a bad idea)

2. You are fiberglassing that canoe again and you forgot to turn on the exhaust fan.

After all the conversations and all the sense you made about being happy with what you have etc

I feel like I was just talked back into drugs by a rehab counselor. ;D ;D ;D

Nah, I want you to go get that big honkin' firetruck and drive it down here to Minneapolis, and when you decide that motor won't work for you, I'm gonna relieve you of the burden \
for a song, and then build the most radical truck mounted RV you've ever seen!

That and you're right about wanting the free trip to Alaska.  ::)
