My buddy John and I came to Blueberry Hill campground this weekend for a pre memorial day get-a-way and we are having a blast! The park is full with almost every site occupied. The weather has been great with a slight all day breeze which is keeping the heat down. We sat outside last night and watched the all star race from Charlotte on a mega size screen the park had set up. It was very clear from any angle and we just had a good time.
Anyway, while here and mingling amongst the vendors, John came across a guy that does detailing. Wash, and wax the coach and clean and polish the wheels and windows for the regular price of 400 bucks. He gave John a show special of 200 and so it was. A deal was made! They showed up at Johns coach at about 4 pm and 3 people swarmed over it starting at the top and then worked down! They were very thorough in detail and did a remarkable job. Anyway, while John was paying the bill, I jokingly asked if I was next and how much it would be? Knowing he and his crew were tired since they only did about 4-5 coaches before John's, he said he could do it Sunday (today) for 50 bucks less than what John paid! I don't have the slide outs he has and so another deal was made! Supposed to be here at or around noon! Afterwards, we check out and leave for home about an hour away!
By the way, the bus ran like a champ, lost NO oil as with previous trip so it must have been where I over filled it. The temps never got above 188 maybe due to me not dragging the trailer and the bus had mucho power, again, no trailer! Top speed was 86mph on rte 471 for those of you that know the road!
Next weekend the "Central Florida Landsharks" go back to Riverside RV Resort in Arcadia for another fun filled 4 days! LOL
Join us if you can!
Well i am guessing you needed to clean the rig after running that fast thru the swamp! how many bugs and critters did you hit ha ha! Glad you had a nice run, its fun without a toad or trailer!
The detailers did a fantastic job on my bus which NEVER had any polish on it since I purchased it! They started mine at 10:30 am and finished about 1 something! They ended up doing 3 more wash only's right behind me!
Only thing I saw that I hit on the way home was half dozen love bugs which came right off now that its been waxed! LOL
They did my tires and wheels but since my wheels were in bad shape, they look better but need professional polishing! I DID go with my buddy Butch to the chrome shop while there and picked new lug nut covers, so that will help since some are missing!
Can't wait until this coming Friday and we go again!
Oh and checked the oil again after arriving home and still where its been along with NO puddle underneath!
Man it sure looks good all clean and shiny sitting in the yard! :)
