Title: 4104 bus skin
Post by: 84dime on May 21, 2010, 10:55:13 AM
Hi guys i have a quick question. Im planning on getting the bus painted in the next few years and i am wondering where i can get some metal skins for the outside of the bus? I have taken out some heaters that were vented to the outside of the bus and now i have no need for the vents. Things like that need to be covered and smoothed out before paint. I know i will probably have to get them off a parts bus but just wondering if you guys had any ideas. Thanks -Josh

Josh,

4104's don't have original visible exterior exhaust vents.

The only exhaust vents I know of are through the inside front door louvers which have usually been covered.

The vents under the forward windows are fresh air intake. I covered mine with clear weather-proof tape because my paint was new. I was getting a lot of drafty breezes into them.

If your windows leak as much air as mine you don't have to worry about exhausting stale air!!
