Looks like a good set up to let people pass while someone is working on the counter.

Who will be working and who will be passing????

Look at you getting all fancy Dallas  ;D Are you using a CAD program? That does not look like sketchup. Looks good!

Lookin good big D! I like the inset for the sink, makes sense. I had not thought of that when I did ours.

Looks good, the sink isn't as much an inset, it's pretty much standard counter depth but both wings come out further than normal giving the sink the apperance of being inset, that is where roll out shelves will be a big plus with the added depth.

I'm allowed to help with everything but hammering. I used to be on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity and they refused to even let me touch a hammer after they saw and heard about my work.  They trusted me to be their treasurer, to do publicity and to interview prospects but never, ever gave me a hammer.  Dallas is smart enough to agree with them. ;D

Dallas,

After I got to lloking at it I figured it was probably sketchup. I need to play with mine a little more to add dimension lines. My interior is all done on mine now with the exception of adding a couple captain chairs.

Hey Dallas I have a link to Tim's(tourquester) photo's that he used making his cabinets it shows his cuts in great detail if that would help?   It looks like you are headed in the right direction!  Do you have any Kreg tools?   Here are both links;

http://www.kregtool.com/ (http://www.kregtool.com/)

The kreg site has many video's that would be helpful!

Tim has a ton of pictures he took while making his cabinets!

I hope this helps!

Pat, I just tried the Kreg link, no worky. That is a nice tool, I used mine a lot.

I'll have to take a few days and check out Tim's site, what Iv'e seen so far is really great. That would have been nice to see when I started my project last year, oh well. Good informaiton for the future I guess.

Dallas, good to hear you are making some progress. I'm sure Cat is guiding your every move! ;D

Looks nice.  But-if you have a 96" wide bus, I'd stay with a straight counter top 24" wide.  Also, most kitchen counter tops are 36" off the floor.  Good Luck, TomC

I knew you had reasons for the design-rather then just aesthetics.  I'm with you on the limited kitchen counter space.  On my bus, I have a 9ft kitchen counter top that allows both of us to be prepping at the same time.  On my truck conversion my blue prints have my counter top, starting at left-refrigerator, then the counter with 12" space, stove, 18" space, double sink, 15" space.  Good Luck, TomC
