Title: Prevost Sliding Windows
Post by: Antknee on May 16, 2010, 03:13:10 PM
Hey I read a thread on here about Custom cutting the curved prevost windows and having a glass company put sliding sections on the bottom like the picture below. are these available or do I need to have mine cut and ship the glass somewhere and have it done then ship it back, seems like a drag, be nice to just purchase the windows outright.

Thanks again. :)

Give Prevost a call - 1-800-799-9938.  They show a window in the parts catalog that looks like what you want.  They also show one that you might like better - the bottom glass is one piece and tilts out - gives you a bigger opening for better ventilation and minimal rain entry.  Unfortunately, they don't show availability, so you would need to talk to them.  You could also try Peninsula Glass - http://www.motionwindows.com/ (http://www.motionwindows.com/)

I have a 91 XL. I ordered from Peninsula the sliders you are talking about cheaper than from Prevost. I thne removed the windows, took them to a local glass shop and had them cut. When you order from Peninsula, they tell you what to cut the windows down to based on your year model. I hired a windshield installer to remount the windows after they were cut.
The tilt out from Prevost are really nice but for me, cost was out of the question.
