Title: brake rebuild

Hi, Anybody out there know where I can get a rebuild kit for my brake application valve? I have 1968  Mci 5a.  Thanks   mike

I guess I could try to buy a new one ,but was trying to avoid a replumbing job. the unit I have now is obsolete. do you know if they sell dirrect replacement? thanks

There are a lot of brake valves out there, you'll probably find something close.  There is of course the option of pulling yours and seeing what's up before you throw it away....depends on timeframe.

pulled it, opened it.  the 2 rubber seats in the inlet-exhaust valve show wear. this is causing a little blow by of air when brakes are not applied. Body looks to be in very good shape though. Would prefer to find rebuild kit, but a new  one may be the only option.

Luke's the go to guy forrevuild stuff like that.  I would rebuild as well, I find it more satisfying....and educational.
