Title: MD 3060 "SERVICE"
Post by: Len Silva on August 11, 2006, 07:11:17 AM
My motorhome with the MD 3060 trans has a "SERVICE" alarm on the display.  There are no codes and holding the up and down buttons clears it for a short time but it comes back.
The fluid and filters have been changed and I would like to know what brings this alarm in and how can I clear it without driving a hundred miles to the Allison shop.

Thanks,

Len

Hey Len,

I have no ideas or suggestions as I have no experince with this trans, but I was just curious if you had found out anything since no one has jumped in and offered any advice ! BK  ;D

If enough people put on their registrations that they are interested in having a great (the BEST in my opinion) Bus A/C man look at and discuss their A/C's with them I'll invite my A/C specialist to the "TN Fall Bus Bash"

But ya gotta register and put it on the registration form, so I know there is enough interest in it to ask him to take time out of his schedule to come over for a day! BK ;D

Thanks BK,

Basically the SERVICE light means "Make your check payable to Detroit Allison".

It means theres a non service affecting problem in the ECU and they must check it out. I will probably get there next week.
