Title: "SEBN" Rally, April 21 - 25, 2010, Palmetto Cove, SC Posted on Youtube
Post by: Gary LaBombard on May 11, 2010, 09:02:53 AM
Hello Everyone,

This post is to create a link to two 10 minute videos I have documented of the 2010 "April In The Carolina's" bus rally hosted by Mike & Carol Heron for the "Southeast Busnuts" and held on April 21 - 25, 2010 at Palmetto Cove Campground, Cleveland, SC.

Since documenting this I have had many personal situations that prevented me from completing this any earlier, some of them health issues but were getting there.

Anyhow, forms to identify bus conversions and their owners identification were given in reception packages given to all busnuts from Mike & Carol that had attended this rally.  This form was a windshield identification form we were hoping everyone would make out using a black magic marker so that they would be visible from a short distance to anyone admiring these buses.  Also, it was intended for it to be easier for me to photograph each identification form before showing photos of each bus that identified each bus and owners name and place of residence.  I was not physically well enough to get photos of each owner with their rigs, especially with as many as we had present.  This is very, very, very difficult to accomplish, believe me.  Well, some forms were made out with pencil or pen and they are not very visible in the photos as I had wished them to be.  Those busnuts that were present at this rally will recognize their own rigs and perhaps friends will recognize them also.  My intent on documenting rallies this way is to show everyone world wide how our busnut family attendance grows and grows with each rally and those regular attendees recognized by everyone can encourage others to start showing up to as many rallies as possible as well to have as much rexaling fun as we always do.

This rally hosted by Mike & Carol heron and assisted by Leroy & Lila Ashe, Don & Sarah Riddle, Howard & Ellen Best and many of those I do not know who they are that helped,  we all thank you so much for such a well organized and thought out rally that offered many moments of memories for us to enjoy.

The food to say was excellent and plentiful is an understatement.  As usual we ate and celebrated fellowship all weekend long.  This is the fist rally I have seen over 30 conversions show up on a Wednesday and they were in the party, party mood which was great.  Being welcomed by Mike & Carol with the meatball sandwitch meal on Wednesday night was what started the party as we all sat in our fold up chairs all around Mike & Carol's bus to catch up on what happened in our lives since the last time we met.  It was also the best circumstances to meet new family friends with the same passion for our conversions, buses, rv's or what ever we travel in to arrive at each meeting destination.  A special thanks to Dave & Carol Lang for supplying and preparing the Sausage Lunch at the pavilion for us all.

Jr & the Peppercorn band entertained us with such professional sounding music that kept all our toes tapping in time with them.  It is always such a pleasure to have them come and give our weekend rallies a musical boost that is actually priceless to us as we relax and watch them have the time of their lives.  Not only at the  planned location of the entertainment but also at Jr's bus afterwards for an extension of bluegrass musical enjoyment.

Lila Ashe & Howard Best also put on a skit that was so entertaining to us all which you could tell by the tears coming down everyone's face from laughing.

Glen Rice played Rhythm & Lead guitar with me as I played and sang and this was truly and always is the best moments of each rally for me personally as music is straight from the soul if you feel it like I do.  Glen just makes these entertainment moments of mine so much more memorable as he knows exactly where I am going with my tempo's etc.  I Sure wish I lived near him, I could learn so much as music is just the best of every day when I play even alone.

Anyhow I am rambling as usual, I want to now post the links to the two videos on you tube for all to enjoy that are interested.  To those that have ordered the DVD I am also in the process of making there will be videos taken with my analog camcorder as well but this is a feature that will be only available for those that ordered DVD as a special way of thanking you for encouraging me to continue to do this at each rally.  Thanks to all and your video's will be in the mail soon.  I will post when they have been mailed for you to watch for them.

Jack,
Did you change your mirrors while you were there? They are different in a couple pics.

Who owned the all white GMC 4905 with the MCI looking windows?

Nice video, wished we had the time to attend while we were in S.C. that weekend.

No, a few of the photos were from past rallies.  We have had the black Ramco mirrors for a couple years now.  That was very observant of you.  Jack

My god Bryan, you truly are observant, but I want to take a little credit for you seeing that in the past videos and the present ones truly show changes.  The reason I had to use some previous video clips  for a couple of the attendees at the SEBN rally was I would stop photographing etc, as I did not feel well  at all and forgot at times where I stopped, I am now 65!!  Anyhow I hope I will be able to fulfill the present photos of those present at the next rally, I should feel better by then.  At least I didn't forget anyone that was present, at least I hope I didn't.

Bryan, were you ever an inspector of some kind in the past??

Gary

I believe that beautiful white gm-4905  belongs to Dexter Wingfield of Mableton Ga. The whole bus is that good.

My wife would say I am an inspector of sorts and maybe a little anal :D I do try to pay attention, LOL. I thought Jack was working on the bus instead of visiting  ;D.

Is Dexter Wingfield on the board? Or anyone have contact info. Would like to see the rest. Again, nice job on the video Gary.
