Title: blower for a 4-71 question
Post by: zubzub on May 09, 2010, 06:24:45 PM
I know a guy needs a blower for a 4-71.  His blower can't be rebuilt so a decent used for min., $ is what he wants.
1st clueless question is do 8v-71 have 1 or 2 blowers and if 2 can one of them be used on a 4-71.
2nd question if no to ?#1 does anyone have a line on a 4-71 blower in Canada for cheap?
It's for an old loader so no one wants to get in deep with rebuilds or the insane extra costs of cross border shipping from the states.
Thanks as always, Patrick.

1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 6V-71, 8V-71 all have one blower.  12V, 16V have two blowers, and the 24V had 4 blowers.  6V-92TA, 8V-92TA have one blower, 12V-92, 16V-92 have two blowers.  Good Luck, TomC

Patrick, I have a blower off a 4-71 in my spare parts pile. It is not in good shape. Something went through it, and the blades are all chewded up, so it would need a complete rebuild, expensive... You can have it if you want.

Thanks but he's got a chewed one already....he's trying to avoid having to buy a rebuilt, I have one lead so far in ohio, pretty close so may work.  Just trying to get a farmer a part.
