shopping around on gear ratios and rear axles!!
whats the best axle to use for a bus swap???
Stick with a 23,000lb rear axle. While the 145 series will take up to 1850lb/ft torque, it has a 15.31 inch ring gear and is rated up to 60,000lbs. The 160 series has a 18.00 inch ring gear and is rated to 100,000lbs. Good Luck, TomC
thanks for the help!

thanks
ch ebay motors there was a rockwell pumpkin new on there cheap under 400 if I remember
With big rigs, there isn't such thing as a specific truck I could tell you to use since they are all custom made. Just look for a 23,000lb axle-you'll be able to visibly tell the difference between the 145 series and the 160 by its' size. Good Luck, TomC
