Title: Things are looking up for a change!
Post by: Busted Knuckle on April 27, 2010, 11:26:27 AM
Ah, breath of fresh air dad and I fixed to major issues late last night!

One was with his bus that broke down rolling down the HWY Easter weekend and to be towed in and the Detroit/Allison dealer screwed up more than they fixed! (yes they got it running, but when we got it back NOTHING inside the coach worked!)
Dad and I found they had switched 2 of several hundred connector plugs in the electrical system after days of searching, tracing & testing!
John, Ace and Tom sound familiar from Bussin 2010? ;D  (yes same bus! ;) )

The other was a clogged fuel filter that was just installed less than 3 weeks ago and has been causing weird behavior every since then! Low power sometimes, and sometimes not. Sometimes would not shift gears and sometimes acted fine. Sometimes it would smoke so bad people actually called me and told me I had a bus going such and such direction on such and such HWY on fire, and they couldn't get the driver to pull over! Dad had asked me "Bryce you reckon the fuel filter could be plugged up? You know that's the first thing you tell others to check!" I told him no it ain't that dad they were just changed 4-6-10! To which dad replied "ain't that pretty close to when this all started?)

So more or less we installed a bad new filter or it got trashed as soon as installed! (I'm leaning towards a bad filter which does occasionally happen!)

And I hear that 747 is supposed to be done at the transmission shop Wednesday! (only been a month and a half and Setra's loaner nicked name "Smurf" has had the wheels run off it with 3 trips to DC, 2 to NC, 1 to SC and 3 to FL since we've had it!)

Ah life is finally getting sweeter again!

Thats good news, surprisingly enough, I worry about you guys, I shouldn't cause your all growed up now lol, but I feel badly that I can't help you with the move and all the fixing up right now, I just feel that I'm not doing my part, but things are looking much better up here now too so maybe the rain inside the dark cloud isn't quite as bad as I thought. I'm getting a few things done up here and getting ready to head to saginaw to the head doctor for my parkinsons check up on May 12th and he wants to drill a hole in my head to do a biopsy on a lump in the back of my skull, libby says I landed on it one too many times lol, I told her if I had half a brain I wouldn't have done it and I must have a hole in my head to concider it lol.  This should be fun, I'm going to see if they'll install a tapper so people can say, hey, look at the beer on that head lol. Yep, life is getting sweeter again lol.

Bryce,
Have you started moving yet? You need to build a pit at the new shop, right?

Fred we are at the new location now, and operating (but not organized yet. Oh wait we never were organized! ;) ) here.
Yes we do still need to put the pit in the lean-to on the side of the shop and pour a floor while doing it. Right now we're just glad to be here and up and running, but the wash bay w/dump station, pit, and water & sewer (for a bathroom) in the shop are top priority items!
