;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I just got back from the dmv. I guess I worried over nothing. I walked into the dmv and told them I needed a title change from a bus to a motorhome, they call it a house car here, lol. Anyhow, they wrote all the info down, and said I will get it in the mail in 30 to 45 days. That's it. I didn't get tags for it yet, as there is no insurance on it now. But, the worse is over. Sure thought there would be more issues than that. Thank goodness, it is a done deal Now, to get those windshields took care of and get paint on it. Wooohooo!
Same thing happend to me in Michigan. DMV here says you have to prove its been converted and show receipts to prove it. I was prepared even though I haddent started the conversion yet. Kinda used pictures from other buses. Went to the DMV, told them I wanted to change the Title to Motor home, they said OK and within minutes and without question I was out of there. Kenny
About the same in CO except you have to have a physical inspection by a certified Highway Patrol officer. The state lists something like 10 items that constitute a motorhome and you have to have a certain number of them to qualify (been a long time, but I think it was something like 7 items). Things like some sort of power supply, toilet, cooking, bed, etc. They did almost no inspection, and labeled it a "crude" conversion :-\.
