Hi Howard, GREAT article in this months mag!
What is the significance of the "Friendship IV" on your bus?
Thanks
Jack
Jack,
I am pretty sure Howard does not frequent the BBs. I do not know the significance, but you can ask him in person at the SE Busnuts rally at Palmetto Cove. They are planning to attend. Jack
I have not read the article in detail, but it was interesting that he bought his bus in Germany. The bus has a Series 50 and an 8 speed manual transmission. I assume that was a factory installation. Sounds like a good combination - especially if it is one of the European transmissions that is synchronized in all gears.

Howard installed the series 50 a little over 1 year ago (or maybe a little longer than that). Before that he had an 8V71 with a 10 speed. I will try to get some answers to t5he other questions when I see him next weekend at the SE Busnuts Rally. Jack
I talked to Howard last night at supper. Here is the story behind the name of their coach. Howard said it was on the bus when they bought it and since they liked it, they left it on the bus. The company they bought the bus from had 8 coaches. Each had a roman numeral (1-8) and a word or phrase to go with the numeral.
Howard said he installed the Series 50 and the 8 speed 2 years ago this month. Jack
