NAPA doesn't carry 1" drive and I've checked online a bit but I've never bought tools online before.
Does anyone have a good/cheap/reliable source for this?
I'm looking for both the 1-1/2" and 13/16" square sockets in 1" drive.... Not urgent but if anyone has any good ideas that would be great.
Thanks,
Philip

Just about any of the tool places that sell the Chinese made tools will have that socket for around 15 bucks.
Be careful buying the all in one type if you have 5 or 6 threads showing on the outer nut they won't work it will catch the square on the inner nut and you will think the nut is tight not so best to have 2 separate sockets.
If you can not find the sockets pm me and I will check the tool store here where I live.
I was in there today and saw the sockets.
FWIW when buying the made in China tools check the rating always buy the ones that have A or AA with the numbers not as good as American made but better than most the made in China junk.
Check Northern Tool I know they sell it in the stores and so does Tractor Supply
good luck

No, TSC and most of the stores it seems do not have 1" drive stuff.
Dallas might hook me up or I'll go with what Len posted.
Thanks
Lots of places for a busnut to save some cash, a few where buying a good quality socket is money well spent.
Wheel fastener sockets is a place to spend a few bucks.
happy coaching!

Just trying to save you some bucks and you can buy the OTC brand which most dealers use for 33.50 at the Tool Warehouse www.thetoolwarehouse.net (http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net) your money
good luck
Luckily for me we have 3 parts stores in my little town. Try a different parts store. I've found anything from NAPA is higher priced.
If all else fails, you can check with Matco, Snap On, Mac, or Cornwell tools. I know that Matco has a website and I'm pretty sure that the others do too. If you use these places though, you will pay big money for the tools just like the pros do. You could check with your tire guy and see where he gets his from.
Harbor Frieght carries them.
Thanks guys, lots of good info in here.... I'm going to be honest and admit that its probably a good thing that I talked to Dallas in chat last night before getting my hands on a 1" drive socket.
If I had been turning the lugs on the drivers side of my bus the correct direction, I probably would not have broken my 3/4" drive in the first place :o
Dallas might supply me with one though, and if not ya'll posted a few great links that will help me a lot.
And unfortunately the closest Harbor Freight is almost an hour away.
