Well, I am servicing the bus prior to the big ride to the SC bus rally. Installed new front slack adjusters, adjusted brakes, front wheels off and good look around, grease gun for all the nipples, and still had some time in the day. So I decided to service the airbox check valves and install some catch cans. When I got the valves off someone had been there before me, and took the guts out so there was nothing to service. Explains the oil all over my car when I towed it 3,000 miles in December...open airbox vents and dripping directly on the ground...
In the unlikely event that I can get these locally and on the bus by next weekend, does anyone know the part number for the correct check valves? From other threads I understand there are a couple of different ones, I guess I need the 900 rpm ones.
I also have to bite the bullet and get some new start batteries. My 7 year old 8D's just won't produce enough to start it right, even after a long charge they drop to 20 volts when cranking. I forgot and left the disconnect switch on in the fall and drew them down to zero, or near enough, I didn't think they would survive that.
thanks, Brian
