OK Dallas, Here's one for you.
My 8-92t vibrates in neutral at any rpm. It has done this since I dropped a valve last year. My 92 is 440hp and the shop that worked on it put a head and piston from a 450+hp 92. A tune up has been done and it runs great, no smoke, but seems to vibrate more under acceleration,(load). Any Ideas?

Your gonna make come see you, huh?
Richard
I am sure Dallas knows the problem but my first question would be are the piston and rod weights the same? if the only moving part changed was one cylinder then it sounds like an imbalance.
Could be. I'll probably have to pull the head and put anoyher piston and sleeve.

When is Dennis coming to see you?
Dallas will get to the bottom of it but sounds like someone tried to adjust the valves with the valve bridge adjustment or did not not adjust the bridges before installing the rockers probably has a burned valve by now or he may need one of the high dollar harmonic balancers the 8v92 uses.
good luck
Thanks Clifford, Just what I wanted to hear...
Richard,
Is that worse than a differential :D ;D
Bryan
MUCH!!!!
If it wasn't for bad luck lately you might not have any :-\
Keeps him out of trouble and on his toes! ;D
Bryan, it not a big deal for Richard he has had that engine out so many times from the 7 I am beginning to think he has Velcro or zippers on it lol call me if you need parts Richard I have some extras
good luck
Clifford, you want me to use Eagle parts on a MCI?
He is almost a rear end expert too! LOL ;D
Get the ones that aren't rusty!
funny Richard but the 92 parts are from a MCI I cannot believe MCI would stick a 8v92TA in a 102 wide bus and set the engine at 355 hp this engine has 7g75 injectors from the factory my thinking it is for cooling but it has the large radiators.
It did last a long time without any major work 626,000 miles only a turbo and blower seals and tune ups every 100,000 miles the gear driven alternator broke a gear and destroyed the engine
good luck
Bryan, Did I tell you that I'm going to have to pull my rear end and adjust it. Seems like when you put a truck rear end in the bus and flip it over, you put the thrust on the other side. after a little while it starts to whine. It doesn't look like I'm going to run out of stuff to do. Do you have your bedroom AC in for your trip. Come on down an I'll help you install it. I'm not to busy right now.
Chopper-- I thought they were all rusty...
Richard
I forgot about my beams!
Clifford, Are you parting that engine out?
Richard,
Yup, you told me yesterday. Is that CRS kicking in again, LOL. I am hoping I do not need AC yet. I am going to run up to Jefferson the first of the week to pick up a slider to change at least one of them so we have some air flow :o that toll window does not do much and it should be nice enough in the next couple weeks to just open a window.
Just watching a re-run of the Incredible Hulk. There was a Buffalo in the parking lot of LAX :o
Bryan
Could it be the harmonic Balancer? Just a comment from the cheap seats,
John
