I have had another occasion to deal with a local vendor who has been consistently helpful, knowledgable, and well stocked. So...I'm passing on a link to his website so that others of you might benefit from his knowledge. If you have a question re. a starter, alternator, or turbocharger, this guy can help you. I'll offer the usual disclaimer, I have no financial interest in his business. James Duncan runs Metro Heavy Duty Distributors in Roanoke. Their website is www.metroheavyduty.com (http://www.metroheavyduty.com). Ok, it didn't light up blue when I typed it, so maybe it isn't a link, but it is the name of their website. My apologies for being so computer illiterate. Their site has links to Delco Remy, Garrett, Leece-Neville, C.E. Nichoff, BorgWarner, Holset, etc. He supplies the local charter and metro bus companies and has for years.
Acting on Dallas' advice, I asked James if he would serve as an "advisor" of sorts for us when we need electrical or turbo help and he has agreed to do that. I hope I'm handling this appropriately. His phone # is (540) nine eight two, 3877. I'll leave it to him to post his cell number and toll free number. They are on his business card.
