Where are those who were giving me the smack down on bus prices...Hummm? Good deals are out there, and becoming easier to find. How can someone sell a shell with RV parts for $6k when you can buy stuff like this, or similar, to what I posted for Scuba44? Sure is quiet out there.

Barn Owl, I guess people just need to shop more to find the right deal. not the cheapest coach purchase price because we all know that is just the beginning

BTW the coach you posted for scuba has been sold

MC5?  It may be a real deal, but not necessarily. It could need $20,000. in ignored maintenance.  Only a good inspection would tell you.  It doesn't even say it has a rebuilt engine just 15 years ago that's barely broken in.

Lin, So what ?

if a buyer put 15 to 20 k into that coach you could still sell it for that pretty easily even in today's market.

AND have the warm fuzzy feeling that mechanically you are good to go

that 15 to 20 I referred to could include new paint and a whole lot of parts

the last custom coach mc-5 that I know of sold for 25 Grand and was worth every penny

We have all been around long enough to know what warrants a closer inspection. This MCI 5 would be one of them, unlike some others that are unreasonably defended. I'm not surprised that the Miller Lite MCI is long gone. I realize not everyone is as lucky as I got when I bought my bus. But I put a lot of time into turning over rocks to find it, and know I could repeat the find and now do even better. I am also willing at anytime to help anyone do the same.

That sounds like a real steal.  Congrats.  $4,800 might have bought the tranny in mine when I got my shell in 2006.
