I am, kinda.  I'm a North Carolina girl but we now live in TX.   There are quite a few on the board from NC and several from fairly close to you.

It is great to know that there are others so close. I'm planning on hitting the conversion process pretty strong this summer and might need some neighborly moral support as well as ideas.

I've been through Lenoir many times on my way to the mountains. Nice country up there. I also have friends in Shelby too. Thanks for the info on the mechanic as well. I may need one before too long to help me out with what I hope is an injector problem.

C'mon over to Palmetto Cove RV park (Cleveland, SC) for the SE Busnut Rally April 22 thru the 25th. No camper, drive over for the day . . . Or stay at a local motel . . . .

You will get to meet your new best friends in person!

BTW, I'm not too far away, ~ 20 minutes past Spartanburg just off I-85.

I was born and raised in a little town called Pinebluff (near Pinehurst/Southern Pines) and also lived in Rockingham for many years.

jlink,

Southern Pines here. That's just north of Pinebluff and a far piece south of Siler City. I don't get to the Charlotte area much because it is not my cup of tea. If I'm there its because there ain't no other way around it. I think J.R. Lynch lives in/near Charlotte. He also posts on this BB.

Right now I have a 1989 RTS but thinking very hard about buying a highway coach and starting over this summer. I haven't gotten very far on the RTS yet so it wouldn't be too much of a wash. If I don't buy a highway coach, I'll just resume the RTS project. Is the old log cabin still on Silk Hope Road down near where the plane crashed back in the 70's? If so, we lived in the white house right across the road from it with all the ponds.

Jlink;
We will have to do some research on that plane crash,as this was before my time. I have only lived in this area 17 years. I have heard local folks talking,but not a exact location. From the way I have heard it described,its about 10-12 miles away?

You need to plan to attend the SE Busnuts rally at Palmetto Cove, near Greenville, SC, April 22-25. The will be a lot of conversions and some very knowledgeable busnuts.  Jack
