Does the sound change with the throttle? Is it speed related? Does it do it at idle?

Maybe you have Glenn Gould's ghost in your bus.

Hummmmmm. . .

Lin,
That mechanic must have trained several of my drivers as well!
I often find the stereo BLASTING in the buses and when I run it out to fuel it or whatever and notice a strange new noise I get "What noise? I didn't hear noth'n!"
(of course not ya moron you couldn't hear ya self think as loud as the stereo was!)
But on the other hand Blaupunkt makes one hell of a bus sound system! ;D

There is nothing needs fixing on my bus, ever, but they hear me coming!!

Have you invited someone to drive while you search, or vice versa? Most noises I have looked for cannot be found, after I stop.

I am usually alone when I hear them, but doing walkabouts for noises at 45 MPH, I hear that is not safe.

The last hummer I detected was associated with power steering. Full reservoir, but still made noise. That one comes and goes - I will find it someday.

What kinda tune is it? Rock, country, hip-hop, blues, gospel, etc?  ;)

Seriously, if we knew the tone or tune it makes it might be easier to hunt down.

Our '65 MC 5A has a "hum" in any gear when it gets to around 1900 RPM. It seems to set up a "harmonic" kind of hum to the bus.
