Hi,
can anyone detail their successes with Solar charging batteries for an MCI 9 during storage?
Thanks for the good insights for previous posts, I am constantly amazed at how conscious and concerned this group is!
take care,
Will
Hi Will,
We have an MCI-9 and travel in it about 5 months a year.
On the roof are two 75 watt solar panels , they are wired in series to charge 24v bats.
They keep the bats topped off at all times.
Every once in a while I connect the house bats with the start bats for a day ( thru a relay).
That keeps the start bats in good shape.
Now there a many others that have more solar power than us , but this is all we need.
When we're at the shore or desert the bats are fully charged by 1 in the afternoon.
If you have an all electric bus then 150 watts will not be enough for you.
