Title: Block heaters

Does a block heater for an v892 also fit an 8v71?  This one is online for $40.

Lin, I did not see one on the link for a 8v92 but to answer your question yes it will work.
Don't waste your money for a small block heater the DD heater is 2500W it fits on the lower right hand corner and has a 4 bolt flange you remove to insert the heater

Thanks Clifford,

It was the last one on the page.  I knew it seemed cheap but did not see why.  It is only 750 watts, so that explains it.  You mention one with 2500 watts, wouldn't that trip a 20 amp breaker?

Lin, that one is for the 8.2 Detroit fuel pincher engine.
