I've knocked headlight assembly's around now for several months, I finally decided to make my own after pricing them! I made a trip to Lowe's and bought two 24"x24" 16 gauge carbon steel plates and 1 1/2" x 1/8" bar! I sheared the plate then bent the main body cut the end plate and welded it in! The bar stock will be the trim around the housing, the headlights came from Kenworth! I'm going to send the housing off to be chromed! It only took about 4 hours to make this first assembly.....I'm satisfied! I'll end up having less than half what I would have paid for! Here are a couple of photo's:
Muddog,
They really look good. Maybe you could make some for other nuts at a decent price. What kind of bus do you have?
