My prosine stopped working with error code 0258 I have went through all trouble shooting effords of Zantex and at last Teck says from serial number unit is not repairable as it was something in the DC wiring that quit.
They will not furnish or let me buy any schematics on this unit other than a discount on a new unit this one is just a tad over 2 years and now just a paper weight.
I have temporially put my old 2000 modified sine wave unit back in and it's working but would love to get true sinewave back working. I can not afford to purchase a new unit only to have it be obslete in a 2 year period.
Will I purchase another Zantex product again I think not 1800 for a paper weight is a bit much for a fixed income.

Try Steve @ Jaytron 941.748.1941 . I had the same crap from Xantrex & Steve repaired my unit for a veerrry reasonable price.
I have had mine for almost 6 years now ( May ) and never had a bit of trouble with it. Only thing is the damn thing is smarter than me so i leave it alone. ;D
I talked to a few service centers about getting my Prosine 3.0 fixed before I fixed it myself. (Mine was just the transfer relay.)
None of the shops would touch a Prosine. Xantrex also said they no longer would fix the Prosines. One shop told me that Xantrex never provided the information required to fix the Prosine units. He also said that Xantrex was shipping containers full of Prosines to China for repair. They were sending customers repaired units and then placing the broken ones in a pile until they could fill a container.
>:( :( ::) Well the answer is in from all the experts I now have a 1800.00 paperweight 4 months after it's warranty expired. Thats 64.28 dollars a month for a top rated Prosine 2000.
Well to see if theres anything made anywhere besides China.

The Magnum Energy units are still made in the USA. The service place I talked to about my Prosine said the Magnums are repairable.
