Welcome Moose!
I've got a 68 MCI 7.  They're a great bus!  I've got the same driveline (Do you mean it has a supercharger (aka blower) or a turbo?).  Easy rule of thumb for driving it - put the pedal to the floor until it stops accelerating, then shift to the next gear.  These engines have governors set around 2000 rpms.  Yours may vary.  2nd gear will get you to about 30 mph, 3rd will get you to about 45-50, and 4th will take you to about 70.  Use the search engine on this board.  There is a great post on how to shift these babies.  Get us some pictures please!  Keeps us fixed! ;D

Great!

www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) is a very useful place to host and shrink pictures.  If you send the pictures up there, you just put your cursor on the picture, information drops below it, copy the "image" link, and then paste it in your posting here.

Good luck!

Trevor,

Keep your eye on the temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge. if the temp goes up high, drop a gear and keep the rev,s up to drop the temp.

Welcome:

I also have an MCI-7. Mine is a '72 with 4 speed standard and 8V-71 normally aspirated engine.

If you have any questions about your coach or your conversion, this is the place to ask. There are lots of knowledgable people that post on this forum, and the answers are just waiting.

BTW, we just completed a more than 5000 mile round trip from our home (in Brrrrrandon, Manitoba, Canada) to Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, both Dakotas and Nebraska, and had only a couple of real minor issues with our bus (burned out headlight and failed alternator belt. Not too bad for a 38 year old bus.

Post pictures whenever you can.

If you put your residence (even approximate) in your profile, it will help when you are looking for information.

Enjoy your bus!

Mark
