Post by: luvrbus on January 29, 2010, 08:50:37 AM
For  you guys looking for Prevost conversion a good friend has finshed his Eagle and is going to sell his.
It is the only 40 footer converted by Foretravel a 1992 model talk about cabinet work it looks like a high quality furniture.
I don't know where he will advertise it yet but I am trying to get him to put in the magazine but Mike Sullivan may have to change his name he has a problem with the name Mike from the past LOL.
I'll keep you guys posted it is going to be a good buy for a one owner coach with less than a 100,000 miles.
I know what he is asking but I will wait for him to advertise the coach so keep your eyes open for this one it will go in a hurry at his price.if I don't buy it first  lol

good luck

TomY, Mr Fore converted some 35ft Prevost back in the 80's  one of his 35ft model Prevost is for sale on Coopers web site made in the 80's asking price of 139,000 the last time I looked, Foretravel been around since the 60's in the high end market always rated #1 in the S&S RV's crowd. He never tried to mass proudce his coaches 50 or 60 a year was tops for him.
He was a genuis with slides when you walk by a Foretravel you can not even hardly tell it has a slide.
The others have come and gone like Country Coach, Monoco,Beaver and others  and even with him not owning the co any longer the Foretravel badge is still out there ( a little history for you lol)
FWIW Tom I looked at a 45 ft U series and that thing was in the 700,000 bracket

There is an early Foretravel (early 80s) not far from me, looks like a SS Winnie. I was told when Foretravel bought the Pattens from Travco they started distancing themselves from the SS market. My uncle has a 90s Foretravel and it is a nice coach.  Tom Y

Just for grins, I've worked on interior updates on the old dodge travco's and they were surprisingly nice to work on, also a bunch of the older winnibagos (you can keep the winnibagos lol) and a few bluebirds, very nice to work on but the ones I really enjoyed were the foretravels, they knew exactly where to put a crossmember, they were rock solid, even the older ones were a breeze to update, for my vote they were one of the best, next in line were the revcons in my opinion.  In the past 20 or 25 years I can't think of very many different makes I haven't piled sawdust at one point of another lol.
