8v92 serial # 37050
HP rating, etc...
Thanks
Rick
sorry Clifford that is a diesel exchange reman serial # the original detroit # is 131166
Rick, 89-90 model left DD new as a DDEC 475 hp notice the oil pan bolts spacing should be different from yours wider spacing and fewer bolts.
good luck
Clifford you never cease to amaze me. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with a DD shop and they couldn't tell me a thing.
Would that HP be attainable with 85 injectors. That's what Diesel exchange put in when they remanned it.
Thanks for the help.... as usual
Rick
Rick, 9G85 would be 450 hp nice set up less smoke with power
good luck
Ok, as long as we're testing Clifford......
How about 8v-92 153394* Now has 90 injectors...
8087-7840
Thanks, Iver
If the serial number is right without looking that is a 92 or 93 block and you have 90 what injectors 9a90 or 9g90's
good luck

Actually, not sure. My mechanic friend looked at the injectors when he was checking the engine and said "these injectors are 90's"
That's all I know. What is the difference?
Thanks for the info. Passed the test no problem......
How do you do this? Amazing.
I've tried for two years to get info. about my bus... and haven't uncovered a thing. Any chance of checking out an MCI? I can send (or post) serial #, engine ID and the last commercial operator. What other info. might help?
Fingers crossed,
Nellie Wilson
Nellie,
Clifford knows the two stroke engine's. He is a guru on those! And he knows just about every Eagle that is out there...
Now on the MCI...I think you are our of luck.
God bless,
John

John, I wouldn't be too sure on that. He's owned them too. ;)

I am no expert just have a lot of books.
Cole gave me the ones for the serial numbers on the 2 strokes (4 volumes) as for the Eagles a guy in Mexico gave me the build records for those and if I see a Eagle I make it a point to find out who the owners are some speak no English LOL.
RJ and JLV do a good job on the GM buses and I don't know why somebody doesn't have good records on the MCI.The problem I think is everyone trys to do it on the web.
Prevost are not that hard to trace
I have the ones for the MCI's I have owned over the years just keep chasing Nellie they are out there I got mine from Greyhound in Dallas along with all the service records and who they were sold too.
I love to get outside the box with the 2 strokes Cole and Don help me with that, sometimes I get to far out and it bites me in the butt it is a lot of fun anyway but it can be costly also.LOL
Cole can really get out of the box the only guy I know that can change the HP rating on his 60s going down the road and do it legal
good luck
Nellie -
