I just got of the phone from Bobby Easter (EASTER BUS SALES) I had spoke to him a few weeks back about some things I
was looking for and to send some pics. He informed me he had 90 plus buses that were gutted cooper, compressors,
Radiators you name it was stolen on his back lot. The thieves were taken into custody. Thought I would let everyone know.
Keep your eyes on yours!

when I went to Easters to pick a bus, I walked all over his back 40. there were times you couldn't see his shops. so I could see how someone could be stripping stuff out back. no good thieves.
Easters has acres and acres of buses with hundreds of buses in the back lot. Having been there I could see it happening.
On that subject,
a friend of mine keeps his trailer parked in a storage area of a campground and
one night when he when up there all the power cords were cut off all the campers in storage. >:(
I have no idea what they planned to do with all those buses anyhow. I can't imagine they would ever find a buyer as they are very old and poorly kept. Lots of them had the doors wide open and ivy growing up inside them. Some had parts stripped to repair buses that they did sell. I've heard from various sources they won't remove parts and sell them.
I still hate to see anyone have their stuff stolen or vandalized.
I can see how it could happen. With that many acres of buses, it would be hard to keep up with. I hate to see vandalism. We have had a big problem around our area of houses having their central air systems vandalized. They get the copper out of them. A friend of mine in Al. this past summer had a bad experience. Someone vandalized the town siren that warns of tornadoes. No one knew this, and a tornado struck there, and no warning.
It matters not what Easter Bus Sales intended to do with them. Nor does the condition they were in have any bearing in this theft.
What matters is the thieves KNEW they were stealing.
I hope Easter can go after the scrap yard that bought the stolen stuff. I mean, really, just how many people can present a valid reason for having so many scrap radiators? & why would they take 'em in 1 or 2 at a time?
Something needs to be done to these scrap yards that are providing such a strong incentive to these thieves.
If the yard can process the 'scrap' fast enough, they make money & don't have to surrender the stolen items. Seems like a strong incentive to be quick & most are! >:(

My inquiry/question was not intended to condone the thieve's action. I truly do wonder what they ever intend to do with the hundreds of bus that are decaying in the back lot. They keep maybe a few dozen newer buses up front and those seem to be the majority of what they sell.
