With a few rumors flying (at least down here in South Florida) about Bussin' 11 being under new management, I decided to post this information.
Bussin' 11 will be a Southeast Cruisers rally hosted by Jack & Paula Conrad and held at the Turner Center in Arcadia, Florida from December 29, 2010 through January 1, 2011, with early arrivals OK beginning on December 26, 2010. Rally format will be similar to Bussin' 10.
Because the Turner Center is tentatively already reserved for a RV Rally December 26 through January 1, 2012, Bussin' 12 may be held at a different location which will be determined at a later date. For information on Bussin' 11 or Bussin' 12 contact Jack or Paula Conrad. Home phone 863-993-3683 or cell phones (Jack) 832-444-3400 or (Paula) 863-444-3399
Jack, if I read between the lines for 2012, there is some bad blood going on. I really hope that, somehow, it all works out. I suspect Ace will get a lot of calls. I will not be making a call, since it would be hard for me to be objective.
Jim
That doesn't sound like a great idea 2 rallies on the same date in the same area ? are price wars next for you guys.
I hope he doesn't think rallies make a few bucks I have done 2 and they both cost me LOL
good luck
Are you kidding me?
Ace scheduled an RV rally at the Turner Center over New Year's 2012?
I echo, Craig. Really? Ace did that? Good grief. Quite a thanks for all of the help that he has received. If he is trying to do a rally, at the same date, at the same place, that is really low. But somehow it doesn't surprise me.
God bless,
John
Jack, just let us know where your rally is going to be held, I have nothing against Ace, just prefer yours.

According to the gal at The Turner Center, Ace wants to have a much larger rally with 200+ coaches, more entertainmet and other activites, as well as electric hook-ups for everyone, so I doubt if that rally would be cheaper than Bussin' rallies. Jack

As I said, Bussin' 11 will be held at The Turner Center. Bussin' 12 is too far off to worry about, but I have several other venues already in mind, if a relocation becomes neccessary. Jack
I'm starting to understand why Ace seems to attract so much bad blood now.
He had some pretty pointed questions and comment here or over on BNO about the Bussin '10 rally and how Jack was dealing with registrations and money for the rally. I hope he or his chapter lose a ton of money on their RV rally.
He must have some real vendetta against Jack to be so low as to schedule the venue Jack has used for years for the same exact dates. My Boy Scout troop has had opportunities to get prime campsites that other troops have enjoyed for years, but we decided not to run to the office to reserve the site and date before them.
I hate to see any polarization between busnuts, it's unfortunate that Ace would schedule his rally at the same time and place that Jack has had for years but that is his right I guess if he chooses, our choices will be on which rally to attend, my choice will be simple, I'll stick with Jack, to me it takes more than a large field to create a rally, the rally is the people getting together, not the location or sponser, I realize it's set up for 2012 and I wish Ace well in the endeavor but it all may be a moot issue anyway with the world ending on Dec 21st 2012 according to the Mayan calender. Which brings up another issue, are deposits refundable in the event of the world ending? lol
I am with you, Brian. Back when Ace left, people were saying what a saint he was, yada, yada, yada. I had my grave suspicions. People said that he was different in person, then his online personality. I didn't think so. Usually what somebody is really like, comes out online.
From what I have read, and from what I have heard, Jack is a true solid guy. Like I said, what somebody really is, comes out. I have heard nothing but good about him.
That said, it is too bad. Of course, who Ace really is, has come out at last...exactly who I thought he was.
God bless,
John
Did someone park Ace in another hole this year as they did when we were having the rallies at the horse arena back about 2001?
I'd like to draw a halt to mud slinging here, I think we all can differ and still respect each other, whether people like Ace better than Jack, or Jack better than Ace isn't what being a busnut is all about.
I don't think it is a coincidence that someone reserved the same venue on the same dates that Jack uses every year. They had every right to reserve before Jack did, but come on.
I think I found a source of extra income to pay for a trip to Bussin' 11 this year so long as I am able to stay employed for the rest of the year. The bad part is I expect diesel will be $4 a gallon or more by then.
The guy is slick you should read his post on BNO "Looking for Help" I offered help so did Eagle and bless his heart so did Jack.
Hopes this works out for both parties but really doubt if it happens
good luck to both
Brian, does this mean your bringing a new receipe for kettelcorn? lol I've never been able to get on the BNO board so I'm not familier with his post.
Kettle corn? I know Ace does Kettle corn, but not me. I do really good bratwurst and pork tenderloin on the grill, but that is about it.
;) ;D
OMG!!! Who would of thunk it???? Anyone Surprised??? :o >:( :D ??? ::)

I did not plan for this thread to become a "who likes who" contest. I just wanted to provide the contact information for all of the rallies mentioned. Obviously, I would rather had Ace pick a different date and location, but I can work around that if neccessary. Jack
Well now, I might as well jump in this one with both feet! ;D
Even though we've not been to Jacks party yet, you can bet we'll be at one of them in the future no matter the date, or where it is!
I followed Ace's post on BNO and didn't really make anything of it other than he wanted to put on a FMCA sponsored rally. But to try and steal the show! Now that's a different story! >:(
Jack, you have a lot of respect from fellow bus nuts, I wouldn't worry!
You rock Jack! 8)

Hey Jack, Why not lock the thread?
Well as Bussin' 2010 was my first. I have to say I was thrilled to make it! And I had a great time meeting and talking to everybody I met there! It was also the first time I'd met Jack & Paula or Ace & Susan too, and I enjoyed meeting all of them as well as MANY, MANY others. I feel that I am friends with all I met there.
I have to say even though it is a shock to hear of the booking of the same dates, & location. I wish both of them well in their ventures. I am like Cody and feel the mud slinging is not beneficial to anyone, or necessary.
Of course I have no dog in the race, I feel it's best for me to remain neutral since I probably won't be able to make it to another one for 5-6 years anyway!
JMHO FWIW :-\ BK :-\
I posted this same thing at that other forum.
There are so few of us nuts it is not a good thing to start a family argument over a little thing like who has the right to dates.
Jack has already offered to compromise, to his everlasting credit. That should nip this thing in the bud before it gets off the ground!
No reason not to be one big happy family.
No need for this to develop into a small town church type squabble!
How is two rallies on the same dates going to help anything? Each are likely to have fewer attendees since there aren't suddenly another 100 or 200 buses that are going to travel to Florida at the end of 2011.
Apparently, there was a mis-communication between The Turner Center, Ace, and I. Ace has not booked The Turner Center for December, 2011 and is not planning a rally at that time and location. Therefore, Bussin 12 will be held at The Turner Center.
Hopefully, Ace will still organize a rally, as we can always use more rallies.
This thread is now locked since this is now a non-issue Jack
