Tom C said in another post these are now good for 425HP and 1200ftlbs. So are the older ones rated this high? The 3060? Is this a RV rating? Or maybe I just need a good swift kick, if my wife hears my thoughts I might get one!! Thanks Tom Y
All the 3060's I have been around are rated for 330 hp in fire trucks with 985# of torque and 310 hp for RV use with 935# of torque
FWIW my son in law has one behind his 300 hp Cummins made in India 8.2 or 8.3 has not been real great for him.

The current 3000 series, weather it be the HS (Highway Service), RDS (Rugid Duty Service), MH (Motorhome), TRV (Truck RV) are now based on what used to be the 3066, which is a beefed up 3060 with a larger torque converter. It has been working very well in heavy duty service. We are selling 3 axle tractors with the Cummins ISL Natural gas at 320hp and 1000lb/ft torque with the 3000HS behind it for Port service, and trucks running up and sometimes over 80,000lbs.
If you want to find a used transmission that will work behind the 6V-92TA, look for the 3066, or the newer 3000 series. Just need the correct flywheel housing (which can be changed on the World transmission), and the correct shift points-which is about the same as any other 2100rpm engine. Good Luck, TomC
Thanks Cliff and Tom. I like the idea of an overdrive for my L10. When I was putting the engine -trans together they were harder to find. They ran the 3060 on some line trucks were I used to work. I will keep my eyes open for a 3066 or the b400. Thanks Tom Y
