I realize that the color is a company trademark and pink stands for corning and all the hype and good stuff and for the most part both the inch and a half blue is pretty much the same as the inch and a half pink, same R value and all that but for some unknown reason, the blue stuff is warmer. and at the same time about a buck per sheet cheaper, I guess I like it better, maybe pink is too feminine to put in a massive bus who knows, all I know is that it seems to be warmer lol. We've had a lot of talk lately on the board about one heater as compared to another, diesel vs. propane and all that good stuff, but the bottom line still comes down to how well the bus is insulated and how many drafts are filled, a well insulated bus is easier to heat and to cool.

On top of everything else, I just could not get the heater to freeze the door shut.
Should I turn the heater up?
Umm, Dallas. I believe your model doesn't do that. See if you can't buy a Mr. Heater, for a good price. Somebody els might have one for a good deal ::)
God bless,
John
Dallas,I'd sell you mine for a good price,I just got it 2 weeks ago. I don't think it will help though, It wouldn't freeze my door shut either ;D. Maybe I should turn it on? :-\ I don't know what it could be ::)
Can't you guys give me a break on the frozen door? :) A big part of the reason the door froze is because we got a ton of slushy snow and freezing rain. I suspect the heater was only a small part of it.
Yes, the door is still frozen shut as it has been too cold (below zero) to stand outside with a heat gun. It is supposed to warm up to 16 degrees Sunday so I plan to get the door unstuck then.

Look at it this way. You are helping someone else get a break. Notice how they have given Cody a break while teasing you. See how nice you are being? ;D
I bought two small electric heaters at WM a couple of years ago for about $20 ea. I think they are 1000 and 1500W and have thermostats, They do a great job keeping the bus livable at down to 11* so far.
The ones without thermostats are slightly cheaper but not nearly as useful.
Now that I'm home I have one running in the water tank compartment because there is still some stuff in the waste tank, fresh tank is empty.
Our low here tonight is supposed to be 0*F, very unusual for this part of the south.
While we were preparing for our trip south, I had 3 of the small black 'cube' heaters running in Papabus to keep it from freezing up. We had already winterized so there was no water/ice concerns to worry about.
It was very comfortable inside up to our -28C (-18F) and windy, and the heaters were running only occasionally.
I didnt use the Lil Buddy cause I needed the door to work (sorry Belfert....I couldnt resist....lol)

ps...We have also been using the heaters here at Casa Grande AZ at night cause its quite cool.....for here.
Hope its a tad bit warmer at Q.
