Title: Dave Lang's 1957 "Flxible, Starliner" Coach Video on youtube
Post by: Gary LaBombard on January 06, 2010, 10:12:38 AM
Hello everyone,

I am submitting a video I made of one of my favorite conversions which I think most converters have to admit is one beautiful piece of workmanship by the Lang's.   Dave & Carol has been to many of our great rallies and Dave & Carol's coach just has to be the center of attraction to view each time you see it.  Even when it is just sitting there it looks like it is doing 80 MPH.  I hope you enjoy his workmanship.  Go take a tour next time you see this bus, take your camera.  Here is Video address:

Yes Gary thank you for a well done video.

I made sure it was one of the buses I made it to see in Arcadia (among others) before they left.

It truly reflects the time & effort spent on it!

Gary,

Well done and thanks for the memories. I had the privilege and pleasure to meet Dave and his wife Carol at a mini rally in Wade, NC March 2009. The coach is simply magnificent to overwhelming to see in person. Dave was obsessive compulsive about every detail of his work in converting his coach and that continues in maintaining it. I took lots of photos both outside and inside of the coach. Outside was easy. Inside was tough because I was limited to use of a digital point and shoot camera. I sure wish I had an SLR digital with an array of lenses from which to choose. If it has not graced the pages of BCM as a centerfold then BCM is missing a great opportunity to showcase a primo example of the converter's art - and science too. Get with it BCM!

If you are near it go see it. If you pass it slow down and follow it to where they are going. I don't know just how many Flxibles are left and in this condition but this coach is a must see for any Bus Nutz.

Great job Dave and Carol and thanks for being so hospitible to us gawkers last March. Hope to see you again somewhere down the road.

Very Well said Will, I too think that BCM should consider to centerfold this beautiful coach, with photos of before conversion and of coarse more of the after photos again.  Dave is a very knowledgable bus nut that will dazzle you with his memory of details of buses, procedures to conversion, painting etc.  The list goes on and on, this centerfold surely would have to be lengthy to do Dave & Carol justice in my book.

I will look forward to this happening in BCM, you deserve the centerstage Dave & Carol with your accomplishment.
