If this is what you've been waiting for, now's your chance. Originally built for Century tours in NJ(unit #408), then sold to Washington Charters of Pennsylvania( unit#378)Hope I got this right VIN# 1EUBN8A14KB070341.happy hunting :)
Van, see how that one piece door opens on that bus that was a factory install the way I been telling you to build yours now you know the rest of the story.
If only I was a little younger that baby would be in my shop with a fresh 8v92 going in it
good luck
I spotted that as soon as I had seen the door, I remembered the factory window at the bottom of it as you mentioned . The mech said it hadn't been run in years, also the engine was dead, yet it was also mentioned that he hadn't had time to put batteries in it yet. I wonder if they really know whats up with this engine, some batts, filters, who knows you might just drive it home. Never know till you go it seems.
I'm pretty certain a good price can be negotiated for this bus. ;)
Van you can also make that type door open towards the front and you can do it buy using the hardware from your 2 piece door but you can't go both ways that is called a plug door
good luck
Sweet ride I wonder if all my stuff would fit on the 102 , ??? my wheels are turnning here lol moma would shoot me , Iam sitting here waiting to go to Calgery lol I better shut this down while I still have some money and wife ;D
Hopefully we will hear more on this one as I know there are phone calls being placed as we speak, bus looks pretty straight from the pics. :)
I thought I might as well jump in on this too! ;D
That would be a great coach to build, it's got the right stuff.
Come on Clifford, you're still young, what's a little job like that to you! ::)
Paul
Having lived there for 22 years, my standard advice is "just say no to anything from Pa.". That bus sure looks clean to me, however. Just the fact that the shock isn't hanging free from rusted and broken mounts seems to mean it was never run in Pa.
Anything used for schools is inspected vigorously. Nebraska last approved it in 2001 and it has been sitting for 2 years? So it ran for the period that an inspection is good for before it was removed from service.....motor or ?????
2 cents,
John
FWIW, that's my coach's younger brother.my vin is 70287 and came from Long Island, NY and mine is in pretty good shape. ;)
It will probably have some sheet metal rust but nothing major on the frame Cor-Ten is good stuff it only rust where the air is cut off to it, you cover it with dirt and the stuff will rust with the best
good luck
I'm hoping libby doesn't see it, she is all set on me doing another bus, this time with slides and maybe a roof raise, I don't understand why cause I don't see where she is growing, at least not taller lol. I'm thinking she is after my rosewood lol.
From the Ebay pictures it looks like it is riding about the right height 13~14", then in the photobucket pictures the first one shows the torsion bolt. With so little thread showing on that side of the arm there is a ton of thread left on the other side of the bracket to raise the coach. The beams must be in great shape.
This will be a great deal for someone. Wow, I almost wish I was looking for one.
Someone buy it so we all can give you great advice as to how to convert it. :D :D :D
David
Isn't Sidney where they have Cabela's chief rabbit? I've spent more than one night at the "Walmart Truck Stop" there, waiting for the highway to open. LOTS of salt.
Wouldn't it cost a bunch to tow that to Clifford's house?
Yup that's the place a real skating rink at times lol
I Got My Eye On This Baby ;) If It Wasnt For The One I Just Bought Last Week It Would Be Mine. I Always Liked The 15. They Say And Extra 6 Inchs Will Go A Long Way.. ;D I Wouldnt Know... :'( LOL.
If Only I Were Blessed A Weathy Man. But, I Am A Rich Man With NO Money..
Well Lets See Where This One Ends Up. I Would Hate To Bid Against A Fellow Bus Nut. Please Let Me Know If Your HEART Is Set On It...I Will Back Off 10-4.
JOHN
You go boy lol I have enough work with the one I have ;D
I won't be bidding, while I may enjoy a challenge, I've got no money. lol If only I could have been born rich instead of so dammmm good looking lol.
G6 salt doesn't affect Cor-Ten steel much that is reason it is used on highways.
John it would be a good one to make a 45 footer from has dual air system, swingout radiator and that door I have always loved, I priced that door before big bucks there.
I bet Tony Fisher the Eagle converter in Kansas buys and converts the bus
good luck

John
Put the finger on the trigger and get ready to pull Clifford ;D We can bring one of your spare 892's there and just flip engines and drive it home. Besides your not foolin Sonja, she probably already knows what you are up to,too, LOL! ;D ;D ;D
Clifford.... Buy The Damn Bus Already. You Know You Want It & You Know Its A Steal.
I Will Help You With The Engine Change If Needed. Im Sure It Would About KILL Me To Work On The Bus Though If It Wasnt Mine. I Would Be Kicking Myself To The Point My Nose Would Bleed !!!! LOL. But NO Really. I Will Help.
Im Sure You Would Do The Same For One Of Your Friends... Im Sure.
Now..... Git-er-Done...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Breeze.
I thought Clifford is planning to sell his bus?
Cifford, why are you looking to buy another?
I sure hope Sonja isn't reading this! ::)
If she was, she should buy it for him.
After all, would that be like "paying it forward." I wonder what she has on her wish list...lol.
God bless,
John
I don't need a bus I just hate to pass on this one,John she always has some kind of Bernia sewing machine and I could buy 3 of those Eagle for 1 Bernia, time is not on my side
It sold for 5,700 anybody we know here
good luck
How did it sell if it didn't meet its reserve?
Even at the BUY it Now price of $6450.00,seemed like a reasonable deal. A running coach in the same condition goes for way more, 20,000 +. Hope some one we know won the bid.
V
High bid was 5700, did not meet reserve, did not sell.
I know it has a new owner today regardless of the reserve price.
He will post when the time is right and all the paper work is over and I would want a copy of the title before sending the 500.00 deposit
good luck

HELLO....
I Was The High Bid. But Someone Else Bought It..
I Waited To Long To Do The Second Chance Offer Deal... O Well. I Got Enough Buses Already... Anyway.
Damn........
JOHN
good going John the other guy was giving you a run sorry I left out the word "would" on the title thing in my post never noticed it till now.
That bus was just to far away for me but I thought about pushing the buy it now button more than once Don Fairchild and myself really thought about if my friend in Broken Bow NE would have been able to look at it you may not be the new owner you lucky dog LOL.
I wonder who bought it damm bet is name is Tony
good luck
Clifford...I Really Thought It Was Mine. The Guy Sent Me A Second Chance Offer. Good For 24 Hours. !! Then He Sold It To A Guy From Pueblo Colorado Two Hours Later..... He Told Me To Take My Time And Think About It......So I Did. I Guess Thats What Happens When You Drag Your Feet To Long...... If The Guy Backs Out For Some Reason I Will Go Look At It.
JOHN
John,
That is terrible. Sorry about that. I had been excited for you...but.
God bless,
John
