Have any of you guys used the cover all type (covers the lug nut) on your bus.
I have the Alcoa's but they are just a over priced piece of plastic junk and the nut when somebody steals those they cost 5 bucks each, take a look and give me your feed back www.tkane.com (http://www.tkane.com)
good luck
I couldn't find the FMCA rag but you have the one I talked to you about. They sure do look nice.

They're not cheap are they? But then what I've got doesn't work worth a damn, no matter what the price. My retainer ring for the hub cover takes up enough room so the beauty nuts don't always stay on. About every other time we move I can count on losing a beauty nut. Yours look like they might actually work and you wouldn't need to buy any beauty nuts.
To lessen the chance of losing caps try putting a dab of silicone on the lug nut or inside the cap - keeps them from vibrating loose - HTH
Clifford , I use s little dap of silicone on each of mine like Niles suggested and it works great, I have the moon style caps on my front steers and boggie and I just put a little on and let it set up. Works great and you can't see it . FWIW Andy
My Alcoa covers have a insert that screws on to the studs to hold the covers the nut covers do not just slip over the nut.
I like the cover all style but that may be something I can find at Quartzsite at a better price a 1000.00 bucks is little pricey for covers don't know if the banker will go for that LOL
good luck
Since just about everyone with aluminum rims uses hub covers, I wanted to be different. All I did was to paint the hubs the same gray as the bus, then use chrome lug nut covers on the hubs and on the lug nuts. Looks dressed, but simple. Good Luck, TomC
If I had the dough for them we would both have a set under the old x-mas tree ;).
I really like em' cause they are clean and simple, some times less is more ;). nice set Clifford :) Just give in to Her LOL ;D ,cause you know you want these ;D ;D ;D
I C Clifford, Those are sweet , I like the way they clean up the wheel. but man thats to steep for my pocket book ;D If I run across something in my travels I'll let you know . 8)
I just replaced tires and being washed out for funds, I have a question regarding the actual purpose of the lug nut covers?
Are they just for vanity ? (I do agree they look great. along with new Alcoa's) But do they provide protection for the stud threads ?
I have thought of removing my remaining covers and painting a stripe across the stud end and nut, to indicate a loosening nut. Trash trucks have that I thought it a good idea, However am I turning my bus into a collector's item ? (Trash Collector that is ....)

Hey Gary , I think as for me anyway it's a clean look with a little maintaince in there for good measure. I understand the cost thing alum wheels aren't cheap. We have little lime green arrows on our Fleet trucks that all point in the same direction for visual inspection of lugs . I think there ugly but then its the way the shop wants it lol
Nothing is simpler or looks better than white wheels, nuts and hubs - if they're kept clean!!
Yup, wash off the grime and get the spray can out.
Fresh paint is easier than cleaning?
happy coaching!

Clifford, I use those 30 cent nut covers and dab the silicone. I've never lost one in 7 years. They do eventually rust and tarnish, but at that price cheap to replace.
