Title: Now this looks like a cool tool for a bus nut

All kidding aside and getting back OT, I have used my digi-cam when I can't see something.  It can be hard to get the exposure and the targetting just right but its not like you're burning up film so just shoot lots and ditch the ones that don't work out.  If you need a serial number from the back side of a hard to access starter or turbo this could be the ticket to avoid having to remove the part before you start looking for the replacement.

With the light on the end, you should be able to see where you got it stuck!

I do like Bob and take pics too. But I kinda like the new tool too! I am a tool junkie though, gotta have it!

I didn't find a price though, but no worries if/when I get to HF next time I'll check it out.

The top one is a coupon special at HF right now for $94.  The ad email I get from them is how I became aware of it.

Out of my price range for now though.  But I thought some folks might be interested.

A friend used a similar scope to open an old safe he inherited. He drilled a small hole next to the dial and watched the tumblers drop into place. Once the sale was opened, he welded the hole shut and repainted the safe. You could tell the hole had ever been drilled.  Jack

Oh no, it ain't so.  Using this takes all the skill out of the Three Stooges holding their ear up to the safe and cracking it open by listening.   What is the world coming to?

HF also has the thin fiberoptic that you can insrt in a cylinder thru the injector.  or look inside pipe.  Or for Dallas's "special" purposes.  Not a tiny camera on a wire but a real fibreoptic device.  I think it was $500.
