Title: Roof top AC question?
Post by: steve5B on December 06, 2009, 08:41:27 PM

   Hello,

I was working on the bus today and noticed a DRAFT coming in, started to check where it was coming from and noticed it

was from the AC.  This sounds silly to ask, but has anyone ever noticed this before?  Both are sealed real good to the roof.

I removed the face and stuffed some insulation in the vent below the fan, problem fixed!

You need to pull the top cover and check the unit out.
Wind should not be able to come in from outside.

I agee with Redbus.  I have 3 Colmans and have never felt a draft or had a leak.  You must have some seal or cover that is loose or has broken its seal.

It may be important to track down the draft before you find it leaks water also.

Everything everybody said!

Mine are not designed with a lot of insulation.....not enuf anyway.   I got what i thought was a draft coming out of mine and it turned out to be just convection from the internal unit duct.  Insulating solved mine also.

I would still do all the checking that was suggested though.  Just don't be dismayed if you find no crack or hole.
