Title: Engine Stand for MCI MC8

I am just beginging the process of repowering my MC8 and before I went to the trouble of building an engine stand I thought I would ask if anyone in the Sothern California had an engine stand that they are finished with and would be willing to sell. If so please let me know and it may save me a little time rather than designing one and building it. I am changing out my 8V71NA and installing a Detroit Series 50. Thanks in advance.

I don't have an engine stand, but I do have a question.
How is replacing your 2100 RPM 8V71 with a 1600 RPM series 50 going to affect your top end?

The goal is to use an Allison MD3066 transmission or change the rear end ratio. I am still looking for the tranny. Which direction I go has yet to be determined.

seems like an awefull lot of work and expense for an MC-8

whats wrong with the factory driveline?
