Post by: John316 on December 02, 2009, 07:32:27 AM
I posted this for you 5 fans. I guess it is a luxury conversion ;D. Only problem? It doesn't have a rebuilt engine (motor?) ;D :o ;D.

Awww, come on Brian ;D ;D ;D.

You could get this, paint it, and then sell it for 50K (as I have seen a lot of CL adds say). Then the add goes on to say, "I would paint it myself, but don't have the time. This is a great opportunity for somebody wanting ot make some fast cash." ;D :D :D ;D

She's a gem, ain't she?

Maybe a little overpriced too? ;D :D ;D

God bless,

John

I would be pretty pissed off at the world myself if I had that thing  parked in my front yard.

Color is perfect. I like the quote best....."Weld a few pieces of structural steel to the front and there's no roadblock too big for the Green Hornet."
It was made for me! ;D

I saw an Eagle today in Rockingham that has this one beat. I stopped on 74 to check it out. It was rusted out in about every place imaginable. Most of the lights were broken out. I opened the battery compartment..no batteries. The entrance door was pad locked so the  only thing I could tell about the inside was that all of the seats were still in it. All of the tires were dry rotted. The engine and compartment were pretty clean except for the dirt dobber nests. It had a For Sale sign with phone numbers, so I called and asked the guy if the bus had been towed out to the highway or was it driven. He said that he had driven it out there. I then asked him where the batteries were and he said that they were in the bus last Friday. Long story short he was asking 5500.00 for it or best offer. I made him an offer that must of made him mad..he hung up on me..lol

A smooth talking canadian once sold me a white bus....worth about 5 dollars more than the green hornet.  spent 10k in about 8 months and learned my lesson.....nothing like havin a big @$# bus.  i sure do miss the girl being parked in my front yard!
