Title: Carrier to exit RV air conditioning market
Post by: belfert on November 04, 2009, 09:57:33 AM
Carrier has decided to leave the RV air conditioning market before the end of the year.

This sucks for me as I have two Carrier units and I need a new ceiling assembly for one or both of them.  I don't know what will happen if I ever need new shrouds since nobody to date makes third party shrouds for Carrier units.

Hi Brian,

Yea, they just didn't turn profits at all.

I guess you should buy spare parts now before they are not available.

Good Luck

Unfortunately, no heat strip on mine.  I was checking on the Carrier recall when I happened across the notice that Carrier is leaving the RV business.

Well, I hate to lose any competition in the market place.....Tends to keep the prices down.

And I really dislike when its the brand I have.

Of course that doesn't mean that's parts won't be available.

Sometimes parts/repair sales is the real business anyway...... :P
