Hi yall. We went by and seen Fred when we were over in that area. He is really a nice person, and took the time to show us around and give us some good advice. He is not doing a lot of conversion work now. He is doing some headliners and minor work, due to his health. He has some good advice on the Coach conversion web site. Thanks for the tip.
Fred is a great guy. I stopped over there on my way to Florida last year. He helped me fix my air wiper problem and shared a lot of good info with me.
Fred Hobe is the best busnut I have known.
Second place is a long way back.
Read everything he has written.

You can only wonder what you might learn in person.
happy coaching!

Ruthi,
Looks like we missed ya'll by a few days. We are Leaving the SE Busnuts rally at Hoboken, GA and going to Fred's today. I know no one with more conversion knowledge then Fred. I can sit and visit with him for hours. Jack
Sorry we missed you. :-\ We are in Dothan, Al. til Wed eve. Then we will be in Gulf Shores Friday. Fred was very nice, and really knew the business. We wished we could have stayed there longer. Terry Bennet was there also. He now travels and puts up the wallpaper in the stores we do. Anyhow, take care, maybe next time.
Makes me wish I lived on the "right coast". I have heard so much about Fred for so long and each report is better than the last. Lucky you's guys.
John
I'm planning a meeting with Fred real soon. I just received an email from him yesterday and he offered to show me around his bus and give me tons of info. Seems like a really nice guy. He said he was nearing 80 years old and has slowed down quite a bit but would still take the time to help me or anyone else in anyway he could. I look forward to meeting him in person.
Fred is a really great guy! We spent a couple nights there two years ago on our way down to Arcadia and I enjoyed it immensely. He helped me troubleshoot the air wiper problem I had and gave me a working take out air wiper motor he had and helped me install it. Plus shared a lot of great ideas with me.
I just realized this was an old thread and I had already said that. But hey, praise of a good man is worth saying twice!
Im still working thru reading all his great stuff! He is one of the main reasons that I am silly enough to believe I can do this project!! He is a great source of knowledge and inspiration even to people who will probably never have the honor of meeting him, myself included!
Yep, old thread, but like you said Mike, worth saying again. Fred is one of the good guys willing to give of his time and himself. We enjoyed our day with him, and soaked up as much knowledge as we could from him, lol. If you have a chance to meet him and visit, it is well worth the time.
I am nearly a year behind on this thread, so sorry, I have not kept up for one reason or other. when it comes to talking about Fred Hobe I too want to jump in as I just hope one day to get the respect that good ole Fred has from all of us. I don't know of anyone who can say a thing bad about Fred and if he or she has any they better keep it to themselves in front of me.
I know Fred has not been feeling well since he fell a couple of years ago off that ole bus roof, Fred is the kind of person you want to be. So Fred you just take care of yourself, there is a lot of busnuts heading over your way to just meet one of the best busnuts there is. Those of you traveling towards Florida, make it a special treat for you to stop and say hello for a day with Fred, he will be etched in your mind forever.
Fred, your an inspiration to us all, keep going my good friend but just go a little slower now and enjoy looking around. You've spent enough time under those busses, laying on that ole cold ground.
Best Wishes and highest respect again to a very great man,
Gary
