Title: 8v92 blower flex drive

Just came from Detroit dealer ..They said my ufo is from the blower flex drive..does this make sense???ufo was in pan and was 1/2 snap ring along with a couple of very small metal parts flat 10thousands           thick by 3/8 square..they said 1800 dollars to fix and run rack?

AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH I have discovered it is called a flex drive. do I have to pull the blower to replace.

no, pull the cover at the back of the engine it is the plate at the very top level with the blower , it could have a power steering pump or a belt drive in place of a cover.  It will have a shaft that turns the blower with splines remove the snap ring and pull the shaft out don't lose the spring, still bet it is a old keeper from a drive.The snap ring they are talking about holds the blower shaft in place
